Jinger Duggar says fiancé Jeremy Vuolo is answer to her prayers: 'I asked God for this in a future spouse'
Jinger, the sixth child of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar has said her fiancé is the answer to her prayers.
Duggar, who is engaged to pastor and former soccer player Jeremy Vuolo, made the comments in an interview with Us Weekly magazine.
"It's an answer to my prayers...I asked God for this in a future spouse, and He has done far above anything I could have ever imagined or dreamed in bringing Jeremy into my life."
Duggar, 22, and Vuolo, 28, met through her older sister Jessa and Jessa's husband Ben Seewald in May of last year and became close during a mission trip in Central America.
A month after they made their relationship public, Duggar and Vuolo announced their engagement. The couple had been dating for seven months by the time of Vuolo's proposal.
Vuolo asked Duggar to be his wife with a 75 carat ring on a rooftop in New York City. But the Counting On and 19 Kids and Counting reality TV star said she hadn't spent time thinking about how her husband-to-be would propose and what ring she would receive.
"I was never one of those girls to sit around like, 'Oh, I want this proposal, this ring, this wedding...I always thought, 'Whatever this young man does, I'm sure I'll be so in love.'"
The young couple have said that they are yet to set a date for their forthcoming big day, but they have discussed starting a family in the future.
There's been no word yet if they plan to have a big family.
"We haven't talked about size, but I know we both love children. They're a joy. We'll have to see what the Lord provides," Vuolo said.
The couple currently live apart as Duggar resides with her family in Tontitown, Arkansas. Once they are married she plans to move to Laredo, Texas to work with Vuolo.
Their long distance relationship was most recently captured in a candid photograph shared on social media by Jill Dillard, Jinger's older sister. Dillard took the photo, seemingly without the knowledge of Duggar and Vuolo, as the husband and wife-to-be said an emotional goodbye at the airport.
Duggar was clear about her feelings that the long distance element of their relationship will soon be over when she told the entertainment magazine: "I'm so excited to be joining my best friend."
