Job opportunity: Manchester Chinese Christian Church

Is seeking to appoint a Pastor to its Mandarin Congregation. He or she will provide pastoral leadership to the congregation working alongside the other pastors of the church. The duties will include the ministry of the Word, the propagation of the Gospel and the spiritual development and welfare of the congregation.

The congregation is a lively and busy one of about 200 strong including children. It is one of the congregations of the Manchester Chinese Christian Church (MCCC) which has two other congregations meeting in English and Cantonese.

MCCC is an independent Christian church established in 1966 in the evangelical tradition. It ministers mainly but not exclusively to the Chinese community in and around Manchester, UK.

The post is available immediately and the appointment will be full time and paid. Salary will be in the range £18,977 - £20,977 depending on qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be offered a 3 year re-newable contract.

Applicants must be fully bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese, be an accredited or ordained Christian minister, and have previous experience of leading a congregation or church.
