"John Wick: Chapter 2" will see the titular hero, played by Keanu Reeves, taking the fight all the way to Rome as he helps an old friend in overtaking an international assassins' guild. Viewers now have a better glimpse of the action sequences to come with the release of the first trailer as well as the official poster during this year's New York Comic-con.

The trailer sees John Wick suit up in a tailor shop but not for a formal event. Instead, he reveals that the suit was for a social affair. It is then revealed that the shop also carries weapons for assassins like John Wick. From that point on the trailer focuses on showcasing some of the key action sequences in the film.

Several key characters are shown, such as Winston (Ian McShane), the owner of the Continental Hotel, and a few new assassins played by Laurence Fishbourne and Common. In the end, Fishbourne's character even mentions that Wick is not really good at retiring.

This will be a reunion between Fishbourne and Reeves, both of whom were together for the "Matrix" trilogy of films.

In an interview with Collider, it is further revealed that the sequel takes place just four days after the end of the first film. This would explain why Wick is still in business given that he had just temporarily stepped out of retirement in the first movie.

Producer Basil Iwanyk also teases that fans should keep an eye out on Wick's new dog. The producer said: "Whenever I told people there was going to be a John Wick 2, their first response was, 'oh my god are you going to kill the dog again?' Over the course of the film, we kill about 80 Italians – and you guys will see what happens to the dog. It's great"

"John Wick: Chapter 2" is scheduled to premiere on Feb. 10, 2017.
