With "Jurassic World 2" still far from coming to theaters anytime soon, a few details about the movie have surfaced, including information about its cast and plot line.

According to a podcast interview with "Jurassic World" director Colin Trevorrow, they designed the movie to be a trilogy. Trevorrow said that "Jurassic World" is based on Dr. Ian Malcolm's quote in "Jurassic Park" which said: "You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could and before you knew what you had, you'd packaged it and slapped it on a plastic lunchbox and now you want to sell it." It's the reason he said why there were a lot of product placements in the movie.

Now, for the second installment of the trilogy, they had to find the foundation for the movie, which, according to Trevorrow, from the character Dr. Alan Grant. Trevorrow paraphrases, "Dinosaurs and man separated by 65 million years of evolution have been thrown back into the mix together. How can we know what to expect?" He said that because of the success of "Jurassic World," they can now proceed with their idea for the trilogy with this quote as their basis and with more room to explore possibilities.

Trevorrow, in his interview with Entertainment Weekly, said that it is this idea that will bring about the "starting point for a much larger story about our relationship with these animals, and with animals in general, and the dynamic created by bringing them back to life."

This, according to iDigitalTimes, will show "Jurassic World 2" with hybrid dinosaurs challenging the human's claim as the dominant species. It also proposes that the movie will have the dinosaurs out roaming free, making the world their territory.

Meanwhile, speculations about the cast of "Jurassic World 2" bring back some characters from "Jurassic Park." Rumors say that Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill, and Laura Dern are likely to join Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt, who will reprise their roles in the movie.

There has been no official confirmation regarding these rumors, which means fans will have to just wait for "Jurassic World 2" when it launches on June 22, 2018. For now, here are some deleted scenes from "Jurassic World," which will be released on Blu-ray on Oct. 20.
