Director Guillermo del Toro has reportedly turned in the revisions for the proposed script for the supernatural version of the Justice League in what he believes is a pretty good one. However, it may not necessarily follow that he may direct since it will all depend on his availability.

DC Universe and Warner Bros. have line up a long list of movies from 2016 to 2020 but curiously, Justice League Dark is not one of them. Known more of as a director for horror films, del Torro has been interested in making the supernatural version for some time now but a stumbling block could be his availability to direct it.

At the moment, del Torro is tied up with the TV series Strain and has a lot of other existing commitments to fulfill. That alone could become a problem even though he wants to be at the helm of Justice League Dark, possibly forcing DC and Warner Bros to find someone else to sit on the director's chair.

Among the rumored characters who are expected to star in Justice League Dark are familiar characters like Constantine, Zatana, Dead Man and Jason Blood. From the looks of it, the revised script submitted by del Toro could have already been laid out with the said supernatural characters.

As mentioned earlier on, Justice League Dark is nowhere to be seen in the lineup of movies DC and Warner has in store for fans. Chances are that Justice League Dark could be part of another shared universe and could very well come out after 2020 if the movie lineup remains intact.

There is word going around that Justice League Dark could be part of a separate shared universe that is under development where Vertigo Comic adaptations are said to be the focus. If that is the case, Justice League Dark could very well fit into this niche.
