The world is eagerly awaiting the arrival of the second child of Kate Middleton. Since the announcement of the Duchess of Cambridge's pregnancy, everyone has been playing the guessing game that involves the sex of the soon-to-arrive royal baby.

New clues have emerged and they may just be the ultimate giveaway. Just recently, reports came out regarding the royal mommy's paint sample orders. Annie Sloan, an interior designer based in Oxford, is said to have delivered pink paint samples to Anmer Hall, the royal couple's residence in Norfolk.

Sloan reportedly crafted the paint decorations with the idea of a velvety, matt finish. This is fit for royals as each pot of the paint costs £18.95. Daily Mail has detailed all three hues and they all sound and look perfect for a baby girl's nursery.

The first one called Henrietta is a rich complex pink with a touch of lilac. The second one, Antoinette, is a soft and pale pink that has a mix of brown in it, kind of like the color of old-fashioned roses. The last one is called Emile, soft aubergine with a tinge of pink red.

If these color preferences are any indication, then the palace is preparing to welcome a princess and her room will be dipped in a lovely shade of pink. At the moment, Sloan refuses to comment further and so does the Kensington Palace.

However, the odds of Kate having a baby girl are high even before the paint orders were made. The duchess is said to be drawn to girls' clothes and in one of her most recent outings, she wore a feminine pink coat, although of course, she has worn many other colors in her public appearances, too.

All the same, Kate's due date (mid- to end of April) is nearing and it will only be a matter of time before the world finds out if Prince George will get a baby sister or brother. A more precise date is allegedly April 25, and there are speculations and surmises that the newborn will be named Alice.
