Outside the world of battle-royale games, space-flight simulation game "Kerbal Space Program" is one that many players are also fond of playing. It is getting its first expansion soon called "Making History" and just as promised last year, it has a lot of new features.

"Kerbal Space Program: Making History Expansion will provide players with an entire new set of tools and content that fundamentally change how the game is played," said Allen Murray, vice president of production at Private Division, a label from publisher Take-Two Interactive, per IGN. "We can't wait to see the creativity of the KSP community around the world as they create and share missions," Murray went on to say.

The "Making History" expansion was first announced almost a year ago — back in March 2017 — but no follow-up news has emerged since then. Aside from a whole lot of new features to be added to the base game, two new major additions are also underway. The first one comes in the form of creating, editing and sharing custom scenarios in a mode called Mission Builder.

There are also some pre-made scenarios that were seen in moments from the History Pack's space exploration. The History Pack will contain new parts and astronaut suits that are inspired by the historical event, the Space Race where the United States and the Soviet Union had a competition of who can shoot their rocket the farthest.

"Kerbal Space Program" is a fairly old game. The first public version came out back in June 2011. Two years later by March 2013, it arrived on Steam's Early Access. It finally got its official release after another two years, on April 27, 2015.

"Making History" is affordable at a price of $15 and will be out on March 13 for PC. According to the game's official Tumblr blog, the development team confirmed that those who bought the game on or before April 2013 will get the expansion for free.
