Despite the growing anticipation of the fans, there is still no certainty as to when "Kingdom Hearts 3" will arrive as the game director, Tetsuya Nomura, is not even certain as to when he can give a significant update on it. However, it is alleged that the game director may reveal a new set of exciting details about the game at the forthcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2017.

It was at the early part of this year when Nomura revealed that there are still many worlds to be featured in the game that have not even been explored in the development process yet. While there is no significant latest information on "Kingdom Hearts 3" as of this writing, it is suspected that Nomura will give some updates on the game at the upcoming E3 2017 happening at the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 13–15 this year. After all, it was at the E3 2016 when Nomura gave some details on the then-upcoming "Kingdom Hearts 2.8," which finally arrived last January.

On the other hand, while it is suspected that Nomura has a long way to go before he can finish "Kingdom Hearts 3," reports claim that the upcoming game will take place after the events of "Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance" and will kick off with King Mickey and Riku looking for the other Keyblade wielders. It is also said that the game will feature Sora, Donald, and Goofy will find themselves busy with their quest for the Seven Guardians of Light across several different worlds so that they can avert Master Xehanort's evil plan.

To the uninitiated, "Kingdom Hearts" is a game that fuses the world of Disney, "Final Fantasy," and other titles into one action and adventure-filled game where the players assume the role of Sora.

While there is a possibility for the game to arrive on the Xbox One eventually, it is said that the game is currently considered as a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
