Back in 2015 it was revealed that director Matthew Vaughn initially wanted celebrities to appear as themselves in "Kingsman: The Secret Service." A new Instagram post from singer Sir Elton John reveals that this will finally come to fruition as the image he reveals indicates he will be joining the sequel, "Kingsman: The Golden Circle."

As stated in a report from Screen Rant, the design of the image also resembles previous teaser images for the film, such as the one that hinted Colin Firth's character may be returning despite being killed off in the first film. It also closely resembles the other teaser image that revealed Channing Tatum's character.

The image itself is a pair of glasses laid on top of a poster. The glasses have a red, white and blue motiff, giving a vague connection that Elton John may be in the United States. "Kingsman: The Golden Circle" has been confirmed to take place in the US and will introduce the American version of the Kingsman, known as the Statesman.

The words "Wednesday night's alright for fighting" are sprawled on the poster, an obvious play on Elton John's song "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting" and may be a clue regarding what role the singer may have in the film. It is unclear if he will be connected in some shape or form to the Statesmen or if he is merely playing a parody of himself.

According to a report from Gamespot, it may be possible that director Matthew Vaughn is intending to cast Elton John in an action role where the singer will get his hands dirty in a fight sequence given that Vaughn previously expressed the difficulty in casting celebrities to play themselves because there would be other celebrities playing a character instead of themselves.

"Kingsman: The Golden Circle" opens in theaters on June 16, 2017.
