The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to redeem lost glory after having only 17 wins last season. They are investing for the future to enter the playoffs for the next seasons with their young line up including D'Angelo Russell, Brandon Ingram, Jordan Clarkson, and Julius Randle. With Kobe Bryant retired from the basketball scene, it may be the chance of these players to shine in court.

With a $13 million cap space, the Lakers could afford to sign another player. With their roster of young players, it would help the team if they will add another top player.

According to an article by Inquisitr, Derrick Rose could be a good addition to the team. Chicago Bulls stated that they will trade Derrick Rose if other teams could offer them the right deal.

Rose, despite his numerous injuries, could still impart experience with the young team. His performance in the 2015 to 2016 season is considered to be his healthiest since 2011, so there is reason to hope that the former MVP could turn his basketball career around.

In another article by Inquisitr, Lakers could exchange D'Angelo Russell for Rose. Russell showed little presence in court despite the expectations of the team and was often dismissed to the bench. To make matters worse, his team reportedly lost their trust from him because of a conversation taping incident where he was secretly recording a video of Nick Young telling him that Young had an affair with a 19 year old woman. At that time Young, was engaged with Iggy Azalea.

It was reported that other team members were not talking to him and were avoiding his presence. Lakers said that they will have to trade Russell for this reason since it could prove fatal to their teamwork in court and also to clear the air of apathetic feelings.

A new environment could make Russell start again, and hopefully show power in court with his new team. Lakers could try adding up another player of the second overall draft pick in exchange for Derrick Rose to close a possible deal.
