Live Nation, the promoter of Lady Gaga's Joanne World Tour, announced on Feb. 3 that Gaga will not be able to continue with the final 10 dates of the European leg of her tour as she is suffering from severe pain.

According to Live Nation, Gaga's severe pain hindered her from performing live. The tour promoter also said that Gaga is currently working with a medical team to ensure that she will be well enough to perform in the future.

In a tweet, Gaga expressed her devastation over the cancellation of the last 10 shows. She said that if she did not choose to come off the road, she will not be standing by the words or meaning of her music. She also said she loves her fans, but canceling the tour dates because of severe pain was beyond her control. She ended her tweet by saying, for now, she needed to put her well-being first.

Gaga was scheduled to perform two shows in London O2 Arena on Feb. 4 and Feb. 8. The other canceled tour dates were in Manchester, United Kingdom; Zurich, Switzerland; Cologne, Germany; Stockholm, Sweden; Copenhagen, Denmark; Paris, France; and Berlin, Germany.

While promoting her Netflix film "Five Foot Two" during the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival, Gaga revealed she is struggling with fibromyalgia. It is a condition in which sufferers experience severe pain all over the body. In November last year, Gaga posted a photo on Instagram of her in a sauna, wrapped in a marley silver emergency blanket. She also gave a rundown of what she does to alleviate the pain whenever she experiences one. She said she invested in an infrared sauna where she wraps herself in a marley silver emergency blanket to trap heat and to avoid overheating. She later takes an ice bath and uses cold packs on areas of pain.

This was not the first time Gaga had to cancel her European tour dates because of her condition. In September last year, Gaga had to pull out of her concert in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil because of severe pain. She was supposed to do the European leg for Joanne World Tour starting September but was forced to move the dates in January this year.

Live Nation announced that ticket holders may obtain a refund from their point of purchase starting today, Feb. 6.
