While other games are busy imitating the success of the "last man standing" formula of "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG)," "Last Man Sitting" lets players who hate standing up on their chairs be the winners.

Developer and publisher Pixel Pizza has revealed their latest take on the Battle Royale genre popularized by "PUBG." Their game, "Last Man Sitting," despite being a parody of the formula, is quite refreshing with its new twist where players swivel around in their office chairs trying to knock others off theirs. As the name implies, the last one who still has their posterior cradled by a cushion is declared the winner.

It is also worth noting that the game is indie and does not have the large funding that "PUBG" has, but that apparently did not stop the developers from committing to the project as it now has a teaser trailer. The video shows off the advanced physics system of the game and also allows players to use guns or any other lethal means just to knock people off chairs.

The catch of being in a chair is that players will only be able to move quickly using the recoil of their guns, which means firing in the opposite direction of wherever players want to move. It will also have two game modes planned for release. The first one is team deathmatch where two teams of players try to get as many kills as possible for their team, and the other mode is the Battle Royale option which lets the last man standing win, or in this case, sitting.

The game is currently in its early development stages by Kevin Suckert, who goes by the name Kevin Derp on YouTube and Der_Kevin on the game's subreddit. He appears to be the lone developer of the game. Suckert plans to release the game first on itch.io and on Steam later. This means that the game's primary platform will be PCs first, though no exact release date has been announced yet.
