It looks like the wait for Nintendo's highly anticipated action adventure game "The Legend of Zelda" will have to be extended. In the Japanese gaming company's recently released quarterly fiscal report, Wired discovered that the release date indicated for the 19th installment in the best-selling "The Legend of Zelda" series is "TBD." Thus, industry observers speculate that Nintendo might not release the game for the Nintendo Wii U console in 2016. 

The game was first delayed when producer Eiji Aonuma said in a video that the company's first priority is to make it the ultimate and most complete Zelda game. Because of this, Nintendo began to accept that it would be impossible to release the game for the Wii U this year. Then Nintendo of America president and COO Regie Fils-Aime said in an interview that the game will be released next year. 

At any rate, those who will opt to purchase the game once it comes out will see themselves in the middle of a fully linked overworld just like the one figured in the original "Zelda" game. But this time, the entrance and exit points to the dungeons will be given less emphasis. Players will reportedly have more leeway to move around the game's universe compared to the previous installments and will be able to decide where they want to go and how to go there using their transportation method of choice. 

However, official details from the game developer have not been released, and the game was noticeably missing during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015 last month, just like Nintendo's next-generation console called Nintendo NX. 

Does this mean that "The Legend of Zelda" will come out alongside the soon-to-be released game console system in 2017 instead of being released for the Wii U as the company earlier planned?
