"Legend of Zelda" for the Wii U is one of the highly anticipated RPG games for Nintendo's console expected to be released sometime in 2017. A new promotional artwork was officially released by the company to the delight of the fans after it was posted earlier by Amazon.

"The Legend of Zelda's" official Facebook page recently updated its cover photo with a new promotional artwork for the game. The image shows Link, the game's protagonist, climbing a rock face with a gorgeous-looking world behind him. A mountain range and a town settlement can be seen in the background. Many fans liked it very much, based on the comments on the social media website. However, there are also some comments about the long delay that the game has suffered.

Prior to the official posting, "The Legend of Zelda" community has already seen the same artwork. It was accidentally published by Amazon ahead of the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016, Cartridge Games  reported.

The upcoming Nintendo game is scheduled to come out in 2017, but no release date is available. It is planned to come along with the version for the NX, the upcoming video game console from Nintendo. The Wii U version was originally set to be released last 2015.

The company also announced "The Legend of Zelda" Twitter campaign last week, where fans could receive Miitomo in-app gifts. Postings that will gain 10,000 retweets will receive "The Legend of Zelda" inspired wigs, IGN reported.

Nintendo is scheduled to feature the upcoming game at the E3 2016, which will run until June 16 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Fans are expecting to see a new trailer and demo footage for the upcoming game, but nothing big like what happened last year. Fans are clamoring for more Nintendo NX information as well.
