Early this year, fans were given a sneak preview of the specs of the successor to the Lenovo Vibe X2. Since then, Lenovo has already released new handsets and added a considerable number to its smartphone lineup. However, there is still no information regarding the upcoming Vibe X3.

Recently though, reports have surfaced that the next-in-line Vibe is already in the works.

Key specs of the Lenovo Vibe X3 surfaced recently on benchmarking site GFXBench. According to the specs sheet, the upcoming flagship will have a 4.9-inch touchscreen IPS display with five-finger gesture support, 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The listing debunks earlier rumors that the Vibe X3 will come with a 5.5-inch display.

Under the hood, the new Vibe X3 will be run by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 with 3 GB of RAM and an Adreno 418 GPU. In addition, it will run on Android Lollipop 5.1.1 right out of the box, partnered with Lenovo Vibe UI.

Moreover, it is also rumored that the Vibe X3 will have 32 GB of memory, expandable up to 128 GB via microSD, as well as high-end premium features such a fingerprint scanner at the back, and 20 MP main camera with dual LED flash. It will also have dual front speakers as well as a 7 MP selfie camera. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone will come with GPS, NFC, Wi-Fi; micro USB, Bluetooth 4.0, and multi-band LTE features.

Reports also place its release to be drawing near. According to speculations, the Vibe X3 will be coming out by next month.

Lenovo unveiled the Vibe X2 at last year's IFA event. This year, the annual IFA convention will be held in Berlin in September, and some fans are expecting that the company will be unveiling the Vibe X3 during the said event.
