The LG G5 from South Korean conglomerate LG has become one of the company's cash cows in their smartphone department. With that kind of success, the company is said to be devising yet another phone belonging to the famed G-series lineup, the LG G6.

The G5's successor is rumored to arrive during the first quarter of next year. In addition, the upcoming flagship is said to boast features that will definitely catch the consumers' interest.

Recent reports are suggesting that the upcoming handset will be coming with an OLED display since the company has been tapped by other tech firms to produce the component for their devices. If these speculations turn out to be true, would-be buyers can expect that the G6 will be tagged with a steeper price just like what happened with Apple's new MacBook Pro that was outfitted with just a strip of the said material.

Furthermore, it's likely that the upcoming iteration will still bear the same 5.3-inch display with 4K attributes. The yet to be released device is also expected to be preinstalled with the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and powered by a Snapdragon 830 chipset from Qualcomm.

Other features that are rumored to be integrated into the upcoming handset include wireless charging with Quick Charge technology. With this, it is said that the device's battery will be able to reach 50 percent in just the span of an hour. The price tag of the upcoming phone is still undisclosed as of late, though, some are banking on the $650 mark.

Presumably, the LG G6 is slated to be unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona, Spain this February. Stay tuned for more news and updates regarding the LG G6.
