LG's latest flagship, the V20, packs a great camera. Many were given a treat with its resulting images and then raved about this feature. Now, the company has reminded its new users that they could try the camera's Focus Peaking, Tracking Focus, and Zoom Slider, which are handy and which they might also enjoy using.

The announcement said: "Packed with more pro-quality multimedia functions than had ever previously been bundled into a smartphone, LG's latest flagship, V20, is the ultimate digital storytelling device. In addition to featuring the world's first Hi-Fi Quad DAC for superb wired sound, the V20 also shines in its visual dexterity which includes Hi-Fi Video Recording, Steady Record 2.0 as well as wide angle lens on both the front and the back of the phone."

Focus Peaking lets the LG V20 users know if everything inside the frame is in focus before pressing the shutter button. If things are in order, these objects are highlighted in green so that they are seen easily even with a short glance. Users can then try and refocus to get things right for the other objects if there are still more.

This feature only works on manual mode and only with the rear-facing lens. Users will need to tap the "Focus MF" option to use the feature. Professional photographers and videographers have used this feature for a time already, with their high-end gear.

Tracking Focus is a powerful focusing tool that helps in following an object during video recording. It allows the device to stay in focus and as sharp as possible in capturing pre-selected object when the camera starts rolling. This is very useful when capturing a moving subject, like in sports events.

One simply needs to activate Tracking Focus, which is seen at the bottom left corner of the screen. Then, users simply tap the selected subject on the screen. A green box will show up to identify the object selected.

Finally, the Zoom Slider is available in Expert mode and in video recording mode only. This will allow the user to zoom-in and out with just a finger, a task which normally requires two, and it is either slow or fast. Aside from being convenient, the resulting video looks like it was made by a professional.

The LG V20 is now available from carriers and retailers.
