Apple Watch might have started generating substantial amounts of revenue for tech giant Apple, but with LG's Watch Urbane getting a price tag of $365, the company and its wearable are about to receive some heavy competition from the South Korean's LTE enabled smartwatch.

While the $365 price tag of Watch Urbane might be too steep for majority of the consumers to afford, Apple's most expensive wearable is priced at $17,000, taking ridiculous pricing levels to an all-time high. Unlike majority of the smartwatches currently on sale, Watch Urbane is one of the few that provide LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity to the user.

LG Electronics was able to provide a firmware fix that was able to overcome the 10 meter Wi-Fi range limit on wearables so users will be able to connect their devices to wireless networks at a much further range. In addition to the Wi-Fi range improvement, Watch Urbane also provides improvements concerning the smartwatch's interface.

Users will have easier access to their favorite list of applications. Additionally, a featured called 'LG Call' will provide users with a high degree of flexibility. Wearers will be able to access a list of recent calls made from their smartphones, and they will be able to call directly from Watch Urbane with the smartphone still present in the user's pocket.

Apart from possessing an LTE modem, Wi-Fi adapter and an overall improved Android Wear interface, Watch Urbane will also fulfill the user's purposes of being a fitness tracker. 'LG Pulse' will measure wearers' heartbeats while they are engaged in physical exercise. As for the hardware specifications, LG's offering features a 1.3 inch P-OLED display, which is the same one present on G Watch R, but with a slightly reduced bezel.

Performance will be delivered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 400 SoC and for storage purposes, 4 GB of on-board memory has been included. In comparison to the base model of Apple Watch, Watch Urbane might be slightly expensive, but it is still the better purchase.
