The puzzle platform video game that has been released for several platforms has finally arrived on Android devices. Possessing a total capacity of 127 MB, Limbo for Android will require users to be running at least the Jelly Bean 4.3 update on their devices in order to prevent running in to compatibility issues. Shortly after the game was available to download at the Google Play Store, it was able to garner a 4.9 star rating out of 5.

The Danish developer Playdead had launched the title as an exclusive for the Xbox Live Arcade and after a period of 12 months, the developer was able to port the title to the PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Windows platforms. Shortly after, an OS X version was released in December 2011 while compatibility for the Linux operating system was initiated in May 2012. In 2013, Limbo was available to play on PlayStation Vita as well as the iOS operating system. During 2014, Limbo was ported to the Xbox One as a free giveaway.

The only platform that Limbo has not been made compatible for now is Sony's next generation console, the PS4. However, according to IGN, the game will be available soon. The puzzle platform title involves players controlling a boyish character that bears no name and wakes up in the middle of the forest. On a course to search for his missing sister, the controlled character encounters few human NPCs, who display severe hostility to the player, or run on sight.

The game's core gameplay mechanic revolves around the solving of puzzles that will impede the player's progress throughout a majority of the areas. True to its name, Limbo's environment presents a dark theme and in order to augment the haunting environment intended on unsettling the player, a combination of greyscale graphics and ambient sounds have been created in order to setup the right atmosphere.

Limbo was released for Android devices on Feb. 11, 2015.
