The Los Angeles Clippers seem to have hit it off well after convincing DeAndre Jordan to return rather than be lost to the Dallas Mavericks last July.

Recall that everyone from owner Steve Ballmer down to the players rallied to let Jordan feel the Clippers love and such was exactly what the big guy was looking for.

End of story? Well, it seems that there is something more brewing internally and it doesn't look good.

This, of course, has to do with a reported power struggle within the ranks that involves head coach Doc Rivers and basketball operations head Gillian Zucker.

For those who are unaware, Zucker was the first key personnel whom Ballmer had inserted in the Clippers organization. But the interesting thing is that it is not only Rivers whom she may be having issues with but also others. So, is she to blame for the dissension within the ranks?

Rivers, as everyone knows, should be the one having a clean hand at comprising the team being the president of basketball operations for the Clips. Zucker is second in command but from the looks of it, the two are not hitting it off well, as reported by TMZ Sports.

Zucker may not have a full feel of what life is in the NBA, coming from National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR), which is, of course, a totally different sport. She has been more of a bane right now and inadvertently one of the reasons why one unnamed player from last year's roster did not re-sign with the team.

Of course, the problem is concentrated on Zucker. It doesn't really mean that Ballmer is a bad owner; in fact, people love him. So it may be an issue of orientation and defining roles to see if the people he is raking in are fit for their position.

Could a reorganization or proper defining of roles be forthcoming? Well, if the Clippers want to strike this coming season, it better come fast.
