According to a report from MacWorld, Apple is set on launching the iPhone 7 this September, likely during their event in Sept. 7. However, the iPhone 7 is not the only device the company is going to release and the report reveals that the MacBook Pro 2016 may launch simultaneously or immediately after the iPhone 7.

This would indicate that it may release by late September or in October although Apple has yet to confirm a specific release window. It is noted that the MacBook Pro was previously rumored to release during the Apple WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) event back in June but this rumor had been proven false.

It is important to note that Apple has yet to make any confirmations regarding the possible release of the MacBook Pro 2016. The report points out that the last iteration of the MacBook Pro launched as far back as early 2015.

A report from Tech Radar states that the upcoming model of the MacBook Pro will introduce several key improvements such as a new processor, likely an Intel Skylake processor or the upcoming Kaby Lake processor, as well as replacing the traditional function keys with an OLED panel.

The laptop is also speculated to feature a USB-Type C port and because of this it may get rid of the traditional 3.5mm earphone jack. This means the USB-Type C slot will be used for data transfers, charging the laptop and using a headset or pair of earphones. Bluetooth accessories are also going to work for the laptop.

This is particularly likely to be true given how the iPhone 7 is already speculated to feature a USB Type-C slot instead of a 3.5mm jack.

Apple has yet to make any official announcements regarding the new model for the MacBook Pro and as such the information and the laptop's release should still be considered as speculation.
