A lot of rumors about the release date of the much-awaited MacBook Pro 2016 are thriving as the year progresses, with people saying that it is going to be launched soon, along with the iPhone 7.

According to Mobile & Apps, some sources report that the upcoming Apple laptop will have slimmer and lighter features as compared to earlier versions. As for its other design-related specs, the MacBook Pro 2016 will also reportedly have an OLED touch panel, and it will be the butterfly keyboard switch that serves as a replacement for the function keys on the keyboard.

Also, the upcoming laptop is rumored to have a Touch ID button with its panel. Furthermore, it is also expected for the MacBook Pro 2016 to have a USB Type-C port enhanced with the Thunderbolt 3 functionality in order to ensure a faster data transfer.

For its processor, Neurogadget reports that the Apple laptop is rumored to be powered by the latest generation of the Intel Kaby Lake processors. As most tech enthusiasts know, this processor has not been released yet, so supposedly, once this Intel processor is released, the newest MacBook Pro will be released after a short time. However, should the September 2016 release rumor prove to be true, the laptop will instead have an Intel Skylake processor instead.

As for its software features, the MacBook Pro 2016 is rumored to run on the latest macOS Sierra. What this means is that Siri, the iPhone's personal voice assistant, will be introduced for the MacBooks as well, in the same way Cortana was introduced in the latest Windows 10 OS. Siri is expected to feature some neat functionalities such as Voice Feedback, Switch Control accessibility and file management.

With this, the MacBook Pro 2016 is rumored to launch in September, but without any official confirmation, fans should just wait for further announcements.
