After seven powerful seasons, it's time to say goodbye to Don Draper and the rest of the cast of "Mad Men." Come Sunday, AMC will air the show's last episode, the series finale that will conclude the story of the advertising executive and the people around him. 

The concluding episode of the TV series is titled "Person to Person" and the official synopsis is very direct to the point: "The stories of Don Draper, his family and his coworkers come to an end in the series finale."

It can't get any more exact than that, which means that Draper's story will definitely end in a good or bad way or both. 

The penultimate episode was a bit heavy, but given that there is a time jump from episode 13 to episode 14, there can still be some unexpected surprises this Sunday. Nevertheless, it is safe to say that the events in the previous episode may have affected how the story will close. 

In the TCA Panel, actor Jon Hamm and show creator Matthew Weiner talked about the conclusion of the show. Hamm, who played Don Draper for seven seasons, is finding it tough to let go of his character and the show itself. 

"There's no version of this ending that is not super-painful for me ... mostly because of these people and this person. They've been the single constant in my creative life for the last decade. That's kind of tough," Hamm explained.

Weiner also gave his take on why the show has to end now.

"The show's become so much more concentrated on these (six) characters. There's not much more room for digression. We didn't want to leave anything on the floor in the writers' room. So organically it became a thing where every one of these episodes became the end of the show," he said. 

"Mad Men" airs its final episode on Sunday, May 17, 10 p.m. on AMC. It will be the end of an era, so don't miss the epic conclusion.
