With the most anticipated open-world crime game "Mafia 3" released, fans everywhere who bought the title immediately proceeded to size up the New Orleans-like setting of the game, which was dubbed the New Bordeaux. As such, a fan of the game decided to make sure how long it will take to walk across the game's entire playable area and his experiment yielded interesting results.

According to Game Rant, the fan known as TheyCallMeConnor in YouTube is famous for his videos that find out how long it takes to walk across different game maps. When the game was released, it did not take long for him to post a video featuring the game's protagonist — Lincoln Clay — traveling through the game's open-world environment.

When the experiment was done, it was then discovered that the "Mafia 3" world takes approximately an hour and a half to traverse.

In comparison, "Fallout 4" only takes an hour to travel.

However, "Red Dead Redemption" still trumps the two games with a record of one hour and 40 minutes. It all pales in comparison, however, to the longest walk ever made by the YouTube user in "No Man's Sky," which took about twelve hours just to explore half of an entire planet.

Regardless, iTechPost reports that despite "Mafia 3's" respectable game world size, it is still relatively small compared to "Watch Dogs" and "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" in terms of scale. Players, however, are not particularly complaining about the playable area of the title.

Instead, they are complaining about several game issues in "Mafia 3," which puts a bit of doubt about the game's release.

Hangar 13 is slowly addressing the concerns of its fanbase, though, and with future updates and patches, "Mafia 3" will most likely end up doing much better compared to other titles released this year.

"Mafia 3" is now available for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms.
