Male model who became a woman reverts back to being a man again saying being transgender is 'isolating and stressful'
A 30-year-old model from Los Angeles who lived as a transgender woman for three years has chosen to live as a man again. Alexander Veach has stopped taking his breast hormone pills and has instead started doing exercises to build up muscle in order to flatten out his chest.
Veach revealed that living as a transgender named Aria has been "isolating and stressful," according to the Daily Mail. He began his re-transition late last year after doing a play in Hollywood's Underground Theater. He has also gone back to referring to himself in his given name.
"Aria and Alex have two hugely different lives," the model said.
Speaking about the physical changes from male to female and back again, he said: "It's crazy that it's not permanent and is reversible, which shows how robust the human body is....There was a time in my life when I was exercising my femininity but now I have stepped back from that I know I have a Y chromosome that's not going anywhere."
Veach was part of the reality TV show "The Plastics of Hollywood," where the stars reportedly spent millions of dollars in surgery in order to look like Ken dolls, Hollywood celebrities, or Jessica Rabbit. He revealed that he's not looking to get any more surgery to transform his body into a man again. He also wants to find the right woman to settle down with who can accept his changed body.
The male model said that some people accused him of being a fake when he began his de-transition to live as a man again. Some have also come up to him to say that they miss him as Aria, especially those who never knew him in the time when he was a man prior to his transition.
The former transgender woman said that when he lived an isolated life as Aria, he coped through music and writing. These days, however, Veach said that he draws support from his family who have been with him through his transitions. His manager Marcela Iglesias also throws her support behind him and promises Veach she will sign him up for jobs as a male model or actor.
"I've seen a difference in him and his personality, when he talks to me I hear the man, I hear Alex," Iglesias told the Daily Mail.
