Manchester United transfer news: Throwing everything to land Neymar

Neymar is obviously a player of the future, so it doesn't really come as a surprise why teams are placing him at the top of the list of potential players they can snag.

His accomplishments need no elaboration. The Brazilian was a key fixture for Barcelona's success last year and all that was acknowledged when he landed at the top three for the 2015 Ballon d'Or world's best male player. He finished behind teammate Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Right now, the Brazilian forward is in the middle of negotiations and Manchester United is trying to figure out a way to woo him their way, although it seems obvious that it won't be an easy task.

For one thing, he will cost the Red Devils a lot which could range in the £100 million mark. And that amount doesn't include the transfer fee that Manchester United needs to settle as well plus other perks on the side that can convince him to jump ship.

Neymar and Messi are joined by Luis Suarez in the Barcelona frontline, perhaps the best attacking trio in the world right now. From all indications, Barca is expected to keep that trio in tow as they try to repeat their treble victory last year.

But in the end, everything may depend on whether Neymar is truly seeking out of Barcelona. And according to the Bleacher Report, there is no indication that the Brazilian captain wants to play somewhere else.

With the high price to pay and the likelihood of Neymar content with Barcelona, it would perhaps be best for the Red Devils to target someone else.

An alternative could be Toni Kroos of Real Madrid. Per The Daily Telegraph, the midfielder could be a more reasonable pursuit with a minimum bid of £40 million likely to do the trick.

Unlike Neymar, Kroos seems to be looking for a new home. But if the Red Devils want him, they may want to act fast since other teams like Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in the German star.
