At the E3 2014, BioWare presented the gameplay preview of "Mass Effect 4," which made a lot of "Mass Effect" fans grow more excited about the upcoming game. However, since the E3, there's not much information going around about the game.

According to Inquisitr, BioWare is re-mastering the "Mass Effect" series, which will force the release date of the PS4 and Xbox One version to be pushed back to 2015. The new game is expected to be released exclusively on these versions alone.

There is still no official statement from BioWare about the launch of "Mass Effect 4." However, Chris Priestly, community manager did share some details on the story of the upcoming game.

"We have already said that the Commander Shepard trilogy is over and that the next [Mass Effect] game will not feature him/her," Priestly said. "That is the only detail you have on the game. I see people saying 'Well, they'll have to pick a canon ending.' No, because the game does not have to come after. Or before. Or off to the side. Or with characters you know. Or yaddayaddayadda."

The game's launch date might be affected with BioWare taking over the development of the "Mass Effect" spinoff, originally tasked to BioWare Edmonton. BioWare is looking to add new enemies in the game and has clearly said that there will be no links to past adventures.

In the video trailer, you can see that humans and krogans are returning, but that's pretty much it. Shepard's other friends won't be joining him anymore. Further, it can be seen that the setting of "Mass Effect 4" will be a new region in space.

Seven months ago, Montreal GM Aaron Flynn shared: "Great time playing the next Mass Effect game in Montreal. Ambitious. Beautiful. Fresh but recognizable. And fun,"this was when BioWare Edmonton still handled the development of the game." Now that BioWare has taken over, hopefully, the new game will be much better.

Meanwhile, "Dragon Age: Inquisition" from BioWare will be released this October. It's the fantasy version of "Mass Effect."
