Commander Shepard officially signs off in an all-new teaser for "Mass Effect: Andromeda." In the clip released for the N7 day, the space traveller that accompanied gamers in the Bioware's hit "Mass Effect" trilogy urges them to move forward to a whole new journey.

"You are that explorer now," Shepard (voice by Jennifer Hale) can be heard saying as breathtaking shots of space and planets are shown. "We will say goodbye and we will look back one last time and know that wherever you go, we will be with you," the commander goes on to say.

Indeed, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will mark the end of Shepard's journey in space. But as revealed in the poignant teaser, Shepard pushes for the slaking of the "insatiable curiosity" within explorers and eliminating the fear and the feeling of not being able to.

In terms of gameplay, the one-and-a-half-minute-long footage does not provide something groundbreaking. It would seem that Bioware is only preparing fans to fully say goodbye to the protagonist of the trilogy and nothing more.

While Commander Shepard won't be the center of the new space voyage, Bioware has long assured that the upcoming action role-playing third-person shooter will feel very familiar and easy to get acquainted with for fans of the franchise while also bringing in never-before-seen components.

"There are some new elements that make it more dynamic, but overall similar feel," Bioware senior development director Chris Wynn revealed on Twitter in answer to a fan. He also revealed that "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will take time to complete, as it is "all rebuilt in the new engine."

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is scheduled for a holiday 2016 launch. It was first announced during this year's E3, although before it was made official, tons of info about the game were leaked, including the inclusion of new alien breeds and new and much bigger worlds.
