Details about "Mass Effect Andromeda" have been hard to come by. Save for the morsels of teases from the folks over at Bungie on social media, there's no concrete information about the upcoming space adventure.

Unfortunately, this will remain the same in the months to come. Speaking to Game Informer, Electronic Arts Studios executive vice president Patrick Soderlund revealed that their attention is on what's on the pipeline.

"Right now we're focused on our big titles for [October through December], and when that's done, we'll shift to Mass Effect. You'll see a lot more very shortly," Soderlund said.

Despite this, he had some news to offer with regards to the development of "Mass Effect Andromeda." He revealed that the lack of updates on the game is nothing to worry about.

Soderlund added that he got the chance to play the first three hours of "Mass Effect Andromeda." From that experience, he can say that "it's very playable."

"And there is no alarm about, 'Why aren't they showing it?' It's strictly that the game will get the right type of exposure at the right time," he clarified.

Soderlund also spoke about the possibility of a "Mass Effect" remaster. EA has never been a company to release such, but it seems that the company is finally looking into it.

"What's changed is that there is proof in the market that people want it, maybe more than there was when we spoke. There were some that did it before, but I think there is even more clear evidence that this is something that people really want," he said.

Game Informer Activision is another gaming giant that has not dipped its toes with remasters, but it has since released improved versions of its games. The "Mass Effect" publisher may be following its steps.

"The honest answer is that we are absolutely actively looking at it. I can't announce anything today, but you can expect us most likely to follow our fellow partners in Activision and other companies that have done this successfully," he went on to say.

"Mass Effect Andromeda" will be released sometime next year.
