Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight news 2015: Mayweather picks Pac-Man as successor

Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s mind seems to be all made up as he counts the days leading to his alleged final fight against Andre Berto this coming weekend.

Despite the belief of many that Mayweather is goading everyone to believe he will retire, the undefeated American says that this is it. He and his camp believe that he has done everything at this point, something that money can (reportedly) not even buy.

For the sake of argument and assuming that he does hang it up after his fight with Berto, who does the flamboyant one pick to be the best boxer? His answer could be a shock since he singled out Manny Pacquiao.

He said, according to Daily Express, "We cannot say, we will just have to see. It is difficult to think about who the fans out there will nominate as the best in the world.

"But for me it is probably Manny Pacquiao."

The answer does come as a shock considering the colorful verbal jawing going on between both camps. It will be recalled that Mayweather simply outboxed Pacquiao at that time, although the Filipino boxing champ claims that he should have won.

And everyone knows the drama that came after that. Pacquiao admitted to fighting with an injured shoulder and Mayweather offered and then recalled his offer for a rematch. Regardless, that May 2 fight, dud or not, racked in millions that saw both fighters go home technically as winners on the financial side.

Mayweather is a heavy favorite to win this coming Saturday and match the 49–0 record of Rocky Marciano. Berto continues to claim that he will pull off an upset but sadly no one is buying it.

And Pacquiao? Well the Filipino boxer will reportedly fight once more by early 2016 with Amir Khan looming as a likely opponent. That is unless Mayweather comes into the picture once more.
