Rumors have been circulating around the Meizu MX5 Pro for a while now, and there seems to be a break in the case.

New images of the phone have begun to pop up online, and this is leading many to speculate about what it could be capable of and when it might be hitting stores.

When it comes to the release date, unfortunately, there's still not that much that can be confirmed about the Meizu MX5 Pro.

According to the International Business Times, the new phone is expected to be released in China soon, although no specific date has been announced. In addition to that, there also appears to be no official word as of now if the Meizu MX5 Pro will be made available outside of China, meaning people could be missing out on something special.

Whether or not people are missing out on something great could be understood in part from the specs of the Meizu MX5 Pro, and fortunately on that front, there have been some leaks that have detailed what the new phone possesses.

According to GSM Arena, the Meizu MX5 Pro will be featuring either the Samsung Exynos 7420 or MediaTek's Helio X20 chipset upon release, and whichever one it is will be paired up with 4 GB of RAM. What is seemingly assured on this front is that the Meizu MX5 Pro will not be utilizing Qualcomm's Snapdragon chips.

The phone is also expected to have a 21-megapixel camera, although it's unclear if it will end up with only one or if there will also be a front shooter available.

The Meizu MX5 Pro will also likely feature either a 5.5-inch or 5.7-inch display upon release. It will also reportedly be running the Flyme 5.0 operating system right out of the box.

It is currently believed that the Meizu MX5 Pro will cost less than $500 upon release, although no exact figure has been provided.
