Meizu has gotten the word out that it will launch its Pro 6s this coming Nov. 3. The media event will happen in Qinhuangdao, China.

The Meizu Pro 6s has been in the rumor mill for the past few weeks, and it has been the subject of several leaks. One item was checked out from the list when Li Nan, the company's vice president himself, confirmed several days ago that the upcoming smartphone will be powered by a MediaTek chipset.

Nan had not gone into the specifics of the smartphone just yet, but he mentioned that the Helio X25 is perfect for a phone that is designed for daily use. He also added that the upcoming phone looks similar to the Pro 6.

Specs wise, the Helio X25 is a 64-bit deca-core processor with 4 Cortex-A53 cores running at 2.0GHz, 4 Cortex-A53 cores running at 1.4GHz, and 2 Cortex-A72 cores running at 2.5GHz. It will also have a Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. Additionally, the soon-to-be-announced phone will have a 4 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage, and the mCharge 3.0 technology, Phone Arena reported.

Its display screen is expected to be a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display that offers 1080 x 1920 resolution with 424 ppi pixel density. It could include a Gorilla Glass 4 at the front. Its main camera is rumored to contain a 21 MP sensor that features an f/2.2 aperture lens, 31 mm focal length, phase detection, laser autofocus, and a 10-LED (dual tone) flash. On the front, a 5 MP lens will take care of the selfies shots. It will then run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and it will be available in gray, gold, silver, red, and rose gold.

Incidentally, Huawei is also launching its Mate 9 flagship phone on the same date. Moreover, another Meizu event will happen on Oct. 31 where the mid-range M5 is expected to be unveiled, which is 5-inch screen device equipped with a MediaTek octa-core MT6750 processor and 2 GB RAM.
