The Schumachers are reportedly demanding a compensation payout amounting to €100,000 from Bunte, a German publication, for supposedly invading the privacy of popular racer Michael Schumacher.

The publication earlier reported that an unnamed source told them that the racecar driver, who received major injuries in 2013, was able to regain his ability to walk. This article led to the Schumacher family suing the magazine, with their lawyer, Felix Damm, stating that the racer is still unable to stand, let alone walk.

Sabine Kehm, Schumacher's agent, also gave a statement following Bunte's article. She said, "Such speculation is irresponsible, because given the seriousness of his injuries, his privacy is very important. Unfortunately they also give false hopes to many involved people."

The public was excluded from attending the hearing. The verdict will be handed on May 5, 2017. It was set on an earlier schedule but was postponed by the Hamburg Regional Court for unknown reasons.

Schumacher, who won the Formula 1 Championships seven times, experienced head injuries while on a skiing trip in Meribel, France in 2013. He was put into a drug-induced coma for six months. During this time, blood clots were taken out from his brain. Following the incident, his family has kept his health condition under wraps.

Meanwhile, Schumacher's 18-year-old son, Mick, competed in the FIA Formula 3 European Championships over the weekend for Italian Prema Powerteam. He drove a Mercedes-AMG Formula 3 engine for the race, which he joined for the first time.

"It is my first year, so for me it is about learning and trying to be at the front in the rookie ranking," he said in an interview. Formula 3 is considered as the race for young drivers to get their feet wet before joining high-profile races, such as Formula 1. He finished sixth, eighth, and 18th in the competition, according to Daily Star.

He also previously placed second in the German and Italian F4 Championships in 2016. He has yet to win a title, although he said his goal in the following years is to win one.
