A report says legendary F1 driver Michael Schumacher remains to be bedridden, and will not be moving to the United States for further treatment, contrary to reports.

In early December, reports from European publications -- Expressen from Sweden and Bravo from Germany -- said that the 48-year-old racer will be flown to Texas to try a new form of therapy at a specialist brain clinic.

According to Expressen, the Schumacher family is putting their trust on brain injury specialist Dr. Mark Meeks to be "the new hope" for the historic F1 driver.

"There is probably no clinic in Europe that handles as many cases as we do," said Dr. Meeks. He added that their facility has an extensive experience with trauma patients.

However, a recent report from Daily Mail slams the rumors. The media outlet said on Thursday that there is no truth to the reports, and that Schumacher remains to be cared for by a team of Swiss medics at his family home just outside Geneva.

The Schumacher family has yet to confirm or deny the rumors. Schumacher's close relatives and team have generally been quiet about his health condition since his life-threatening accident while skiing at a French Alps resort in December 2013.

His two children, however, have given fans hope with their recent Instagram posts.

Earlier this week, the legendary driver's son Mick shared a post honoring his father's legacy. The 18-year-old son, who is following on his father's footsteps as a speed racer, posted a photo of his race car printed with the message "Keep Fighting," which is also the name of a foundation his family started a year ago.

In the caption, he also thanked all the fans who never faltered in their support for his father throughout the years.

Last November, his sister posted a similar message. "There is only one happiness in this live, to love and be loved ... #keepfighting," she captioned a photo of a lake as viewed from her saddle.
