Previous reports suggested that Microsoft is planning to unveil two new Lumia phones next month. But more recent speculations claimed the Redmond-based company is planning a major event on Oct. 6, and in the event, three new Lumia phones will be launched.

According to The Verge, a leaked internal presentation for Microsoft revealed that aside from the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, the tech giant is also planning to unveil a mid-range budget smartphone alongside the two premium flagships. The third Lumia was said to be the new Lumia 550.

The leaked presentation posted online has already been taken down, but not before different websites took note of the leaks.

Different observers such as PC World wrote that based on the leaks, the presentation provided a complete rundown of the three devices. Although focusing on the two newer premium flagships, the presentation detailed the Lumia 550 as having a 5.0-inch display with HD resolution, a yet-unnamed version of a quad-core Snapdragon processor, 1 GB of RAM, and 8 GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128 GB via a microSD card. In addition, the new mid-range Lumia will also have a 5-MP main camera on the back with flash and autofocus, a 2-MP Skype-optimized front camera, and a 1905 mAh battery with rapid charging feature.

Meanwhile, the same presentation also mentioned that both the Lumia 950 and 950 XL will come with a mobile version of the Windows Hello feature for Windows 10. This will make for stringent security for the phones, with Windows Hello including biometric scanning to identify the device owner. In the case of the new Lumias, it seems that the cameras will also work as iris scanners to help identify the user without a password.
