Surface Book 2 is speculated to launch in October.Microsoft

Fans are expecting that the new Microsoft Surface Book 2 will be unveiled by October. This is after the Instagram controversy that shook the community over a week ago.

Even if Microsoft failed to post the real Surface Book 2 on Instagram, the photo has become a hot topic for fans. Many believe that the company would not be posting that particular image if it is not significant, and positively see that something worthwhile will soon arrive.

Windows Central stands by its report that the image has something to do with the soon-to-be-released device. Other publications updated their reports to contain the correction that was pointed out the well-known Windows developer Rudy Huyn.

Microsoft has been keeping silent with regards to the Instagram posting, but fans believe that the company is testing the waters, and an October media event will showcase the alleged Surface Book 2 and possibly other Surface rumored products. However, the laptop will only be made available by either Fall or Spring of next year.

Meanwhile, the rumored device is speculated to be containing several upgrades when it arrives next month. It is believed to be powered by the latest Intel Core processor, the Kaby Lake, an increase in RAM, a higher resolution display screen, USB-C Port and Thunderbolt 3 ports, and an extended battery life. Its Surface Pen feature is also rumored to have more functionality, as well as a darker color variant, aside from the grey magnesium finish that is currently available. Not but not the least is a redesigned hinge.

The community is also speculating that Microsoft is building up its Surface line and is said to be releasing several models for its AIO, or all in one, machines. A Surface phone is also said to be in the works, as well as the fifth generation of its highly successful Surface Pro hybrid tablet.
