Ever since tech giant Microsoft dropped their Lumia Windows phone lineup, many speculations spreading around the internet suggests that a new Microsoft phone will be launched soon, specifically the Surface Phone.

With Microsoft's upcoming event this October, fans expect that the company will be announcing their upcoming Surface phone 2016, especially since the Microsoft October event is said to feature new technologies by Microsoft under the Surface brand.

Rumors suggest that Microsoft's Surface phone will show a significant change from the previous phones that the company has developed as the new Surface phone is said to include premium quality specifications, software, and hardware.

The upcoming Microsoft Surface Phone 2016 is said to come with a 5.7-inch AMOLED display with 2K resolution protected by ClearBlack Gorilla Glass 4. The phone is also rumored to possess a stunning 20-megapixel PureView Carl Zeiss lens camera coupled with an 8-megapixel wide-angle Zeiss lens front camera.

The device is also said to come out running on the Windows 10 mobile OS, and is backed up by 3 GB of RAM for the base model and 4 GB of RAM for the high-end model. Despite different RAM memories for the two variants, both are speculated to come with either an Intel Atom x3 (SoFIA) 64-bit processor or a Snapdragon 830 processor.

Other speculated features of the Microsoft Surface Phone include a storage capacity that can be expanded up to 256 GB, a surface pen, USB Type-C port, wireless charging, and an aluminum magnesium unibody.

On another note, other rumors suggest that Microsoft is planning to include high-end features for the upcoming Surface Phone, which means that its launch might be delayed until 2017, making the phone's release to be sometime in 2018.

However, there is still no official news from tech giant Microsoft as to when the Surface Phone will be released, as well as what the phone's specifications and features will be.
