The only issue is that there seem to be two possible outcomes for the device's release date. One is a possible release within the year, and the other is a possible early 2017 release.

The Windows 10 update is reportedly still unfinished, and that it would likely still be a few months until it is completed. The Surface Pro 5 is highly expected to sport the new update out of the box, which means that Microsoft would again have to delay its release if they want this to happen.
