Tech giant Microsoft has successfully launched their Surface PC and Laptop at a recent Windows 10 event in New York last week, and during the same event, Microsoft also introduced their upcoming range of new Virtual Reality headsets.

Even though the recent Microsoft event focused on their latest Surface Studio hardwares, the news on the latest VR headsets for Windows 10 has successfully caught the attention of avid VR users. Despite the lack of information as to what features the upcoming VR headset will possess, HoloLens chief Alex Kipman assures fans and VR enthusiasts that Microsoft will be providing more information about the device at an event they will be hosting just before the year ends.

It is said that the tech giant will be holding two WinHEC events this December. The first event will be on December 8th and 9th, and the second will be on December 14th and 15th.

At the December event, Microsoft is expected to reveal its plans for the upcoming VR headsets. It is said that the upcoming headsets are both designed to become an affordable device that will introduce people to Virtual Reality.

What's more is that the upcoming VR headsets are also designed to help hardware developers gain a better grasp on the software plans for Windows Holographic.

Recent speculations suggest that Microsoft plans to create a set of VR headsets that will provide its users with a plug and play experience compatible with Windows 10. To do so, Microsoft is said to have partnered with several companies including HP, Lenovo, Dell, Acer, and Asus to provide the Windows Holographic shell experience.

Furthermore, rumors suggest that the first set of VR headsets will be out in the market just after the Windows 10 update is released next March. The VR headsets are also expected to come with a price tag of around $299 USD.
