Milwaukee Bucks NBA 2015 news: Jason Kidd to make push for Brook Lopez

Jason Kidd and the Milwaukee Bucks are looking for a man in the middle and they have two players in mind – Brook Lopez and Tyson Chandler.

Both are believed to be pretty close with Kidd. Kidd played alongside Chandler in Dallas while Lopez was his understudy when he was calling the shots over at Brooklyn. Could that relationship angle have a big bearing?

After shipping out Ersan Illyasova to the Detroit Pistons, the Bucks seem to be clearing up cap space as they target both big men.

Chandler could be a likely acquisition especially if the Mavs are able to land a player like LaMarcus Aldridge or DeAndre Jordan in Free Agency. But Lopez is a different story.

Despite being the center of trade talks leading to the February trade deadline, the Nets have had a change of heart and are now determined to keep Lopez in the team as much as possible.

The Nets plan to rebuild the team around Lopez and another rising star in Thaddeus Young despite the fact that Lopez has had his issues with his feet.

Also, the Bucks are not the only team interested in Lopez. There are various teams who have shown interesting in the Nets 7-foot center such as the New York Knicks and the Miami Heat.

The Nuggets tried to make a go at Lopez before the trade deadline but the Nets scoffed their offer.

But if there is anything the Nets may want to be alarmed as is the fact that Kidd has ties with Lopez. That could eventually be a factor and could hinder any plans of re-signing Lopez who is expected to opt out of his contract to get a better and lucrative deal.

Can Kidd and the Bucks pull it off? The chances are high but may all depend on the two players in focus – Chandler and Lopez.
