Minecraft users playing the game under PS3 and PS4 will finally receive the long-awaited update titled Update 19. The update addresses a bug which causes delays to the system.

The update was first released for Xbox users, presumably because they were primarily under the Microsoft brand. But now 4J Studios will be rolling out the bug fixes that they had earlier released before 2014 ended.

The bug was said to have affected a lot of users in the North American region, system delays which are believed to have been caused by high usage during the holiday break. Among the bugs that became apparent was the inability of players to join multiplayer matches globally.

Another issue was the save transfers. Through Twitter, 4J Studios confirmed that the save transfers have already been fixed. Aside from the two bugs, other fixed issues include that of horse de-spawning randomly, red stone issues and so on.

Among the new features in the update include that of Fireworks which provide a new kind of interface for players. To create it, players will have to use the Crafting Table and combine it with other ingredients to produce the Firework Star or Firework Rocket.

A new Adventure Mode will now be available as well. This mode will allow users to break blocks when they use the right tool to do so.

Aside from those new features, here are some more improvements to watch out for with the new update for the PS3 and PS4:

  • Zombies and Skeletons will spawn with different weapons and armors.
  • The longer you stay in an area, the harder the monsters will become

If you haven't, you can download the update from the 4J Studios website. If you are unfamiliar with the whole update process, there is a tutorial that should guide you through the process of doing so.

A next update Title Update 20 is said to be in the works but all these remain as rumors for now.
