The Minecraft Xbox One Edition due to be out soon.Twitter

The version of "Minecraft" for PlayStation Vita will head to the U.K. on Oct. 15, while the launch in the U.S. is still unknown.

Scotland-based developer 4J Studios revealed in its official Twitter account the imminent launch of "Minecraft" for PS Vita in the U.K.  A release date in North America, however, is yet to be announced, but it is most likely that the launch will be closer to the U.K.'s release date since it already passed Sony's certification.

A lot of PS Vita players felt relieved as both Microsoft and Sony did not cancel the game despite the fact that Microsoft bought the game recently. However, players in the U.S. will still have to wait for the official announcement from the developers for the release of DLC in the region.

Meanwhile, a new refreshed version of the "Minecraft" is in the works, and will feature improved visuals as well as new skins. The block-building game will upgrade its visuals to support a Full HD resolution. This is due to the advent of screens with the aforementioned resolution and to make the game visually attractive.

The new version of the game will be 36 times bigger than the previous version. Moreover, a new set of skins will be made available to players to dress up their characters. The new skins are Doctor Who-themed.

Software giant Microsoft bought "Minecraft" for an astounding 2 billion euros, and guaranteed that the new and improved game will head to various platforms – Microsoft Windows PCs, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. However, players can expect that the company will prioritize the launch of the PC and Xbox versions.

According to reports, the Xbox One edition of the game will include some sample worlds inspired by "Halo," "Mass Effect," and "Skyrim." Moreover, players who have played "Minecraft" before in PS3 and Xbox 360 will be able to import the worlds they have created alongside any DLC they have bought.
