Country singer Miranda Lambert was in tears during her performance at a benefit concert in Oklahoma last night.

The 29-year-old broke down as she sang her hit song "The House That Built Me" at the "Healing In The Heartland" benefit, which was broadcasted live on NBC.

Midway through her song while she was singing the following lyrics, Lambert choked back tears and had to turn her microphone to the audience to finish the last verse.

"Mama cut out pictures of houses for years

From "Better Homes and Garden" magazine

Plans were drawn and concrete poured

And nail by nail and board by board

Daddy gave life to mama's dream"

When Lambert finished her song, she said "sorry" to the crowd before saying, "I love you Oklahoma."

The benefit was organized by her husband Blake Shelton, who also performed. Reba McEntire, Ryan Tedder, Darius Rucker, Usher, Rascal Flatts and Luke Bryan also performed in last night's show, which was held to raise funds for victims of the devastating Oklahoma tornado that hit last week.
