"MLB 15: The Show" will be released next month and fans will see big and awesome changes on the title. The game will be the first in the lineup to show off the new and improved Diamond Dynasty Distilled mode. Sony San Diego Community Manager Ramone Russell detailed how the mode got its name.

"A common definition calls the process the extracting 'the essential meaning or most important aspects of,' which is precisely what we've aimed to do. It's more intuitive, it's easier to get into, and we hope you'll find it more satisfying than ever," Russell explained

Just like how fans of Major League Baseball collect cards as memorabilia of sport that is closest to their hearts, the Diamond Dynasty Distilled mode will endow a player card, an equipment card or a stadium card to players. These rewards will stack on the game's universal rewards. Diamond Dynasty is simply the fastest ticket to a complete team.

Once a player gets a card with a certain MLB player on it, it will be included in a gamer's roster for good. This means that gamers will have more control on building and bettering the team simply because a permanent card collection helps them to focus more on that other than worrying about expiring cards.

The new mode on "MLB 15: The Show" also makes it easier to assemble the team in one convenient screen called "My Squad." Slotting in players is painless with the use of a "fantasy baseball-esque system that easily shows where a player can play on your team."

Lastly, the Diamond Dynasty Distilled mode pans the focus in collecting cards by reducing the scope of MLB players. This gives players only one customizable character in the team. Training this Dynasty player will be done by feeding him unwanted cards — whatever the skills on those cards will be passed on to him, affecting his performance in the field. Also, this character can play any position, which Sony touts as another big change to love.

"MLB 15: The Show" also licensed legends from the MLB Players Alumni Association, which really is what collecting is all about. This means that gamers amassing all the cards from any given team will unlock that team's legend card. Completing collections also gives gamers more experience points, stubs and items.

"MLB 15: The Show" will be released on the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita platforms on March 31.
