To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the long-running PlayStation "MLB" baseball franchise, the new title "MLB 15 The Show" will be released on March 31. Sony will have a simultaneous release of the game on the PS3, PS4, and PS Vita. The current-gen console edition is $59.99, and the PS3 version costs $39.99. Meanwhile, the PS Vita title will be available at $19.99.

To commemorate the event, there are numerous deals available, both online and in retail stores, to coincide with the release of the new title "MLB 15 The Show." In 24-hour store Meijer, hardcore fans can get a $10 coupon off for their next shopping when they buy the new title. Aside from that, buyers of the new "MLB" game can get a 40 percent discount on all video games. The same discount is being promoted by toy chain Toys "R" Us.

Meanwhile, shopper favorite Target has an on-going promotion where buyers of "MLB 15 The Show" can get a second video game at half the price. For those hardcore players, this means at least 50 percent discount when they opt to buy the new baseball title and get their newest games like "Bloodborne" and "Battlefield Hardline" at the same time.

Another deal commemorates the anniversary of the series. For $10 more, fans can get the "MLB 15 The Show Anniversary Edition" instead. The bundle comes with 12,000 stubs that can be used to purchase in-game items, 15 bonus item packs that include "MLB" player cards, and 31 PS4 themes.

In other news, diehard fans of the series noted the lack of pre-release preview from notable online game sites such as IGN. In an unprecedented move, Sony opted not to ship pre-release review copies of the upcoming baseball title because of the feature in the game, the Universal Rewards.
