Capcom will welcome 2018 with a new installment to the "Monster Hunter" video game series. The role-playing video game "Monster Hunter: World" will hit the market on Jan. 26, 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

"Monster Hunter: World" brings new elements mainly for the equipment variety, map, hunters, online content, upgrading system, weapon combos, and more. Most of the trailers released for the game feature gigantic monsters and heavily equipped hunters. Capcom also released a guideline video to help beginners learn the gameplay and how to navigate their way in the New World as hunters.

The game also includes a "Horizon Zero Dawn" content. Players can complete the collaboration quest in order to receive materials to create Aloy's armor and bow. When the Palico armor is equipped, the avatar will then turn into Aloy in terms of armor, weapon, and face appearance. The "Horizon Zero Dawn" DLC is only available for PlayStation 4.

"Monster Hunter: World" is one of the most-awaited video game releases in 2018. The game brings new monsters lurking across new and wide areas. The gameplay mainly centers on hunting monsters and acquiring new materials to create stronger weapons and armors. The setting of the game is called the New World or Elder Crossing. The story of the game is about the objective of the Research Commission to capture all monsters and study them. The guild is focusing on one of the greatest dragons to roam the new world, Zorah Magdaros.

Gamers can now pre-order the game in standard edition, digital deluxe edition, and collector's edition. The standard edition includes the Origin set armor and a Fair Wind charm. The deluxe edition comes with the samurai set. Lastly, the collector's edition is a bundle containing the samurai set, a Nergigante figure, special soundtrack, and a "Monster Hunter: World" artbook.

Capcom will release a beta version of the game on Dec. 9 for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
