Actor Morgan Freeman appeared to be falling asleep during a live interview from New York.

The 75-year-old actor took part in a morning interview with Fox affiliate KCPQ for his new movie "Now You See Me" when he appeared to have nodded off.

Freeman's interview was in the form of video-conferencing and the anchors do not attempt to wake the actor while he gets some shut-eye on camera, although one anchor can faintly be heard saying "oh.."

"Now You See Me" is directed by Louis Leterrier and will be released May 31. It is about an FBI agent and an Interpol detective tracking a team of illusionists who pull off bank heists during their performances and reward their audiences with the money.

The movie stars Morgan Freeman, Mark Ruffalo, and Jesse Eisenberg.

Morgan Freeman has received an Academy Award for his role in "Million Dollar Baby" and nominations for his performances "Street Smart", "Driving Miss Daisy", "The Shawshank Redemption" and "Invictus."

His recent films include the action-thriller "Olympus Has Fallen" and the science-fiction "Oblivion."

Last year, Freeman was a victim of an internet death hoax after a fake Facebook page claimed that he had died. He personally came forward to reassure fans that he was alive and well.

"Like Mark Twain, I keep reading that I have died," he wrote in his Facebook page along with a photo of himself.

A face Facebook fan page called R.I.P. Morgan Freeman appeared on August 27 claiming that the actor had died. It received nearly a million likes but has since been taken down.
