As the wait continues for the Kombat Pack 3 for "Mortal Kombat X," developer NetherRealms Studios polishes the PC version fighting game with a new balance to be released the same day the game launches on the platform, which is on Oct. 4.

The studio will give a rundown of the changes in the balance patch the day before via a Twitch live stream. However, NetherRealms creative director Ed Boon revealed some of the tweaks to expect.

The "Mortal Kombat XL" balance patch will allow Bo Rai Cho's staff to "spin cancel" projectiles hurled by the opponent in addition to an improvement on his "ignite" move.

Shinnok can now "(dash) cancel out of his Judgment Fist [and] Smash moves." The Goro Punchwalk now includes more punches while Raiden gets two hits of armor.

Kitana is made more dangerous with an Assassin buff, thanks to the "Mortal Kombat XL" update, while Boon also teased that "Alien's tail isn't quite as immune" in the balance patch.

Detailing another tweak from the "Mortal Kombat XL" balance patch, Boon said "Being able to combo after his Ex-Drop makes Kenshi's Balanced variation more 'balanced.'"

Sub Zero also appears to get a new command grab when "Mortal Kombat XL" arrives, which makes fans happy and much more excited about the PC version of the fighting game.

All of these and more will be detailed in a Twitch live stream on Monday, Oct. 3 at 3 CDT. Gamers can also keep an eye out on Boon's Twitter as well as other NetherRealms devs to learn more tweaks.

With regards to the Kombat Pack 3 for "Mortal Kombat X," it seems that Boon has no details to provide yet about the downloadable content (DLC).

The expansion was first teased in May, but no sign of it has emerged save for Boon's teases on Twitter, where he usually mentions the DLC but not provide new details about it.
