Last week's Friday the 13th was indeed appropriate, as the trailer for "Mortal Kombat X" confirmed that the iconic villain Jason Voorhees from the "Friday the 13th" franchise will be part of the fighting game. The machete-wielding killer will be one of four downloadable characters in the "Kombat Pack," which will include another guest character and two classic fighters from the "Mortal Kombat" series.

The teaser just showed how the modeled Jason would look like. For fans though, it would be interesting to know what highlights the "Friday the 13th" killer will bring and how he would fight and what his special moves and fatalities would look like.

The expansion pack will also feature other free goodies, including the "Samurai Pack," with character skins for Jingu Kitana, Ronin Kenshi, and Samurai Shinnok. Every playable character in "Mortal Kombat X" will also come with an accompanying skin pack. Meanwhile, owners of the "Kombat Pack" will also get early access to the "Samurai Pack" before it goes on sale separately, priced at $30.

The season pass for "Kombat Pack" will cost $29.99 in North America, and will also be made available in the U.K. for £24.99. The pack will be included in all four special editions of "Mortal Kombat X" in North America, as well as the Premium Edition in Europe.

"Mortal Kombat X" will be the franchise's debut on Microsoft and Sony's next-gen consoles. Developed by NetherRealm Studios, it will arrive on Playstation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One on April 14. Meanwhile, the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions are being developed by High Voltage Software, and will be made available this summer. A mobile game is also in development, and will feature fighting, card collecting, and multiplayer team combat; it will also feature the full roster of "Mortal Kombat" fighters.
