The characters included in "Kombat Pack 2" will be added to "Mortal Kombat X" simultaneously.

This was the latest announcement made by NetherRealm Studios creative director Ed Boon through his Twitter account.

Boon made the announcement after receiving questions from players asking about how the new characters included in the new DLC pack would be added to the game.

The simultaneous release of the characters included in "Kombat Pack 2" runs in stark contrast to the approach the game's developers followed when it came to the first character bundle.

As Ubergizmo reported, NetherRealm Studios decided to release the characters included in the first "Kombat Pack" one at a time, although they did not reveal exactly why they took that particular approach.

This means that players will have access to the four new characters included in "Mortal Kombat X's" "Kombat Pack 2" right from day one.

Upon "Kombat Pack 2's" arrival, players will be able to join battles using Bo'Rai Cho, Leatherface, Tri-Borg, and "Alien's" Xenomorph inside "Mortal Kombat X" right away.

"Kombat Pack 2" will be available to purchase on its own for $19.99, PlayStation Lifestyle reported.

For players who already have "Mortal Kombat X" but don't have the first DLC pack, they can opt to get the "XL Pack." The "XL Pack" contains all eight characters included in both "Kombat Packs" as well as an additional fighter in Goro. The "XL Pack" will be available for $24.99, according to Destructoid.

Lastly, players who have thus far held off on getting the game altogether can also purchase "Mortal Kombat XL."

"Mortal Kombat XL" includes all "Kombat Pack" characters, Goro and the base game itself. "Mortal Kombat XL" will be available for $59.99.

"Kombat Pack 2," the "XL Pack," and "Mortal Kombat XL" will all be released on March 1. All of the new content coming to "Mortal Kombat X" is not expected to be made available for the game's PC port.
